What it does in ClientPulse: Pulls signed envelopes from your existing DocuSign account into the client vault. Read-only — ClientPulse does NOT send signature requests via DocuSign (use Dropbox Sign for that).
Status: Available
Tier: Agency tier only ($799+/mo).
Per-user: Yes — each teammate connects their own DocuSign account.
Before you start
- A DocuSign account (any paid tier — Personal, Standard, Business Pro, or Enterprise). Trial accounts work for testing.
- You must be on the Agency tier in ClientPulse. Lower tiers see a "Agency tier ($799+) unlocks e-signature" message.
- Cost: Free on ClientPulse's side. ClientPulse handles the DocuSign developer app — you don't need to register your own. DocuSign's own plans start at €9/user/month — see https://www.docusign.com/pricing.
Sandbox vs. production. DocuSign Developer Accounts live on
account-d.docusign.com; live envelopes onaccount.docusign.com. ClientPulse's production deployment points at production DocuSign; if you want to connect a sandbox account for testing, email support@helloaurora.ai and we'll point your workspace at sandbox.
How to connect (≈30 seconds)
- Open https://clientpulse.helloaurora.ai/dashboard/integrations and scroll to the E-signature section.
- Find the DocuSign card and click Connect DocuSign. Screenshot to be addedIntegrations page with DocuSign card highlighted
- You'll be redirected to DocuSign. Sign in with the account whose envelopes you want pulled, review the signature scope (read-only access to envelope list + content), and click Allow Access. Screenshot to be addedDocuSign consent screen showing the signature scope
- DocuSign redirects you back to
/dashboard/integrations. The DocuSign card flips to Connected as you@your-agency.com.
That's it. No app to create, no API key to paste.
ClientPulse begins pulling your envelopes from the past 90 days. Within a few minutes, signed envelopes start appearing under the matching client's Files → Contracts tab.
What you can do with it once connected
- See all signed DocuSign envelopes per client without leaving CP.
- Get a timeline event whenever a new envelope is signed.
- Match envelopes to clients automatically using signer email.
Common pitfalls
- Pitfall: You signed in to DocuSign with the wrong account (you have multiple). Fix: Click Disconnect on the DocuSign card, then reconnect — use DocuSign's account switcher to pick the right one.
- Pitfall: Connected, but no envelopes appear under your clients. Fix: ClientPulse matches envelopes to clients by signer email. If the signer's email isn't on file with the matching client in CP, the envelope shows up under "Unmatched" instead. Click Review unmatched on the post-connection card to map manually.
- Pitfall: Sandbox vs. production confusion — you see no envelopes because the wrong host is configured. Fix: Your DocuSign Developer envelopes live on
account-d.docusign.com; production envelopes live onaccount.docusign.com. If you're connecting your real DocuSign account to a CP development environment (or vice versa) the hosts won't match. Email support@helloaurora.ai with which environment you're connecting and we'll flip the right env var. - Pitfall: "Configuration required" message instead of Connect button. Fix: This only appears on self-hosted ClientPulse deployments where the operator hasn't set the DocuSign OAuth env vars. If you see this on shared cloud (
clientpulse.helloaurora.ai), email support@helloaurora.ai.
Restrictions
- Read-only. ClientPulse does NOT send new signature requests via DocuSign. Use Dropbox Sign for sending (see dropbox-sign.md), or send from DocuSign directly and ClientPulse will pull the signed envelope back.
- Only envelopes the connected user can see are pulled. Shared/team envelopes work if your DocuSign account has access; otherwise they don't.
- Each teammate connects their own DocuSign account.
Advanced: bring your own DocuSign developer app (optional, almost no one needs this)
Most agencies should stop reading here. The default ClientPulse DocuSign app works for 99% of use cases.
If you specifically want envelopes pulled via your own DocuSign integration (e.g. for an enterprise tenant that requires every API consumer to be registered with your DocuSign account), email support@helloaurora.ai.
